Los Alamos Public Schools (LAPS) Superintendent Jennifer Guy issued comment regarding this week’s  dismissal of Hilltoppers Head Boys Basketball Coach Benito Maestas and JV Coach Paul Herrera. Six players have quit the team since the season began.

Los Alamos Atomic Tumblers traveled to G Force gymnastics on Albuquerque’s west side this past weekend to compete in the Gravitational Invitational. The theme of the meet was “Even Gravity can’t keep me down”.

I first became aware of Triatomics, the Los Alamos Multi-sport club, twenty years or so ago when we would be driving home sleepy from floaty night at East Park Pool and they would be running down Canyon Road in the gloaming in their bathing suits. ALBUQUERQUE – The New Mexico Sports Hall of Fame celebrates 50 years this June. The first Induction Banquet was March 5, 1974.

As part of this celebration, the New Mexico Sports Hall of Fame announced today its special recognition recipients for the past year, celebrating accomplishments by fellow New Mexican individuals or teams.
