State Police To Conduct Checkpoints & Saturation Patrols In Counties Across New Mexico In December

NMSP News:

New Mexico State Police (NMSP) will be conducting sobriety checkpoints, saturation patrols; and registration, insurance, and driver’s license checkpoints in all New Mexico counties during the month of December.

They are bringing awareness to these events to reduce impaired driving-related fatalities through continued media attention and intensive advertising.

These checkpoints are helping to change society’s attitude about driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs.

RTD Announces Thanksgiving Holiday Closure Nov. 24-25

NCRTD News:

The North Central Regional Transit District (NCRTD) has announced that the RTD Blue Buses will not be in service Thursday and Friday, Nov. 24 and 25, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

The exception will be the 255 RTD Mountain Trail to the Santa Fe National Forest which will operate both days.

The RTD Mountain Trail will remain on its non-winter Schedule.

DVS Restarts Highly Rural Veterans Transportation Program

SANTA FE — The New Mexico Department of Veterans Services (DVS) has resumed its Highly Rural Veterans Transportation Program offering free round-trip rides to veterans to and from their home and any U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or VA-approved medical appointments.

No Bus Services Nov. 24-25 For Thanksgiving Holiday  

ACT News:

In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, there will be no Atomic City Transit (ACT) regular bus and paratransit services scheduled in Los Alamos and White Rock Thursday, Nov. 24 and Friday, Nov. 25.

Regular service will resume Monday, Nov. 28.

Route 3 and 2 peak services will remain suspended until further notice due to staffing shortages.
