Winter weather is here, and the County would like to remind residents of some important safety considerations for motorists to take to make their travel as safe as possible.

RTD Announces Veterans Day Holiday Closure Nov. 11

RTD News:

The North Central Regional Transit District (NCRTD) RTD Blue Buses, will not be in service Friday, Nov. 11, in observance of the Veterans Day holiday.

The exception is 255 Mountain Trail to Santa Fe National Forest, which will operate.

Atomic City Transit Route 3 Suspended – Staffing Issues

COUNTY News:

Atomic City Transit (ACT) Route 3 is suspended today, Nov. 2, due to staffing issues.

Bus Stop # 570 Entrada Dr & Camino Entrada & Bus Stop # 571 Entrada & Camino Entrada will be serviced by Route 1 with on-request service.

Customers who need to be picked up from these locations can contact the administrative office at 505.661.7433.

New Mexico State Police (NMSP) is conducting sobriety checkpoints, saturation patrols and registration, insurance, and driver’s license checkpoints in all New Mexico counties during the month of November 2022.

Los Alamos MainStreet would like to alert the community to a road closure 4-6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28 as part of the annual Trick-or-Treat on MainStreet event.

Due to the nature of the event, a road closure will be in place 3-6:30 p.m. on Central Avenue between 15th and 20th streets, including any side street access.
