RTD Holiday Closure July 4

The North Central Regional Transit District (NCRTD) has announced that the RTD “Blue Buses,” RTD Chile Line and the RTD Mountain Trail buses will not be in service  Tuesday, July 4, in observance of the Fourth of July holiday.
 
Regular service will resume Wednesday, July 5.

People To People Travel Group To Tokyo 2018

Donna Giaquinto of White Rock, a retired educator and her colleague, practicing educator LeAnne Montoya of Medanales are leading a People to People travel group to Tokyo next year. 

 
There are 40 positions planned on the program. A meeting will be held in the fall for families to meet leaders, alumni and participating families.

NNSA On Improper Shipment Sent From LANL

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) has been informed by Los Alamos National Laboratory that proper procedures were not followed in shipping small quantities of special nuclear material to both Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and the Savannah River National Laboratory last week.

County Provides Bus Services For Friday Concerts

The newly-initiated Summer Concert Bus service was created to fulfill a need in the community.

 

DWI Program Coordinator Kirsten Bell explained the County’s DWI Planning Council presented to County Council a strategic plan last year.

About 20 people strapped on their bicycle helmets and climbed on their bikes Thursday to take part in Los Alamos County’s community bike ride.
